
Alan Gagnon joins Pixafy as its second Account Manager, joining Raechel Boston on that team. Alan will work closely with our clients to identify issues and needs and work with the staff to ensure it gets done. He sheds a bit of light about himself in our latest interview.
Q: Tell us a bit about yourself.
I am from Long Island where I still live. My family is still on Long Island as well. I have a brother, who is 21 and he is currently studying criminal justice at Nassau Community College. I have a wonderful girlfriend of almost 2 years and she is an environmental scientist for the DEP. I want a dog.
Q: Where did you go to school, and what did you study?
I started at Queens College and finished at Sanford Brown Institute in Web Development.
Q: Any mentors/other people who’ve been particularly instrumental in your direction to date?
My family and girlfriend are always pushing me to do better and vice versa.
Q: What is your first impression of Pixafy?
Pixafy seems like a great place to work, with a fantastic environment, and I am glad to be part of this team.
Q: What do you hope to accomplish at Pixafy?
I want to become an experienced Project Manager.
Q: Hobbies/interests outside of work?
Traveling, movies, video games (currently World of Warcraft & Borderlands 2), reading, and sports (New York Giants, New York Mets, Chicago Bulls)
Q: What kind of music do you listen to?
I used to be a DJ for 13 years, so I enjoy everything.
Q: Qualities you most admire in others (non-Pixafy employees)?
Honesty and a sense of humor.
Q: Any pet peeves?
Liars and sitting too close to strangers in restaurants.
Q: What’s your favorite part about being an account manager?
Dealing with clients on a personal level.
Q: Any unusual hobbies that we should know about?
I enjoy finding new places to eat.
Q: If you won the proverbial lottery, what would you do with your windfall?
I would give all of my family and closest friends a nice amount so they would be just as set as I would be.
Q: What’s something that no one at Pixafy knows about you (until now)?
I am a closet dork.
