Karaoke night brings Pixafy staff together off-hours

Posted by Joshua O'Connell

One of the great things about working at Pixafy is that the environment is friendly. Despite working together all day, it’s a common sight to see staff get together for a lunch, or meet up for after-work activities such as dinners or, earlier this month, a karaoke night. (more…)

A ‘Grand’ way to photograph our team

A photo from our October 2012 photoshoot at Grand Central.  Seen from left: Christopher Deneen, Jason Alpert, Eric DiPalma, Sean Buddy, Raechel Boston, Caroline Gabriel and Tariq Chaudhry.

As part of the photoshoot we completed earlier this year, we decided to herald our New York location by bringing the staff to Grand Central Terminal to take pictures. It was a fun process, with photographer Megan McGory capturing everyone individually and in groups, as well as a few portrait-style shots of some of the team, such as president Uri Foox.  It was a fun way to break up the shoot and bring a bit of New York into the company photos!

We’ve put up a Facebook album featuring a few of the shots, and we’ve updated photos here and there (including a couple of the other Grand Central shots on previous blog posts); look for an updated staff page, coming soon, which will feature the photos we took during the shoot!

Our second company photo shoot!

The Pixafy staff as of October 2012.

When Pixafy was first launching its rebranded website in April of 2011, our friends at Red Antler (who were designing the site) came in and photographed the team, all nine of us at that time, to illustrate the site and showcase our staff.  A bit’s changed since then: Uri no longer wears glasses, we’ve moved to a new office, and our staff is now nearly 25.  The time was ripe to rephotograph the team. More people, more personalities

When I began my journey at Pixafy a year ago, there were about 10 employees. Now that number has more than doubled to 25 employees! Can you say amazing?!

Nonetheless, when you double your staff, you also double the amount of personalities around the office and that’s what makes things truly interesting, engaging and well, sometimes, even frustrating. So, how do you deal with all these different personalities?  (more…)

Congrats to Manny, an employee reaping rewards

Posted by Pixafy

We know at Pixafy that as a service business, the people are important.  We also want to recognize the amazing work our team is doing regularly.  So, earlier this year we kicked off a rewards and recognition program for employees that are doing stellar work, which includes demos by the employee being honored, so others can learn from techniques and tools that the honoree has found useful.

A recent recognition went to one of our original hires, Emmanuel Etienne, who’s a senior engineer here at Pixafy.  Manny’s work is consistently innovative and creative, leading to some excellent solutions for our clients.  We took a few photos of Manny receiving his award this week; check it out on Facebook, and while you’re there, be sure to like our page!
