Hats off to Pixafy’s Rachel Vasquez, who earns her Magento Front-End Developer certification. Front end developers who earn this certification show a thorough understanding of Magento’s theming components, and have the ability to modify the user interface according to best practices. Rachel discusses the certification process and the difficulties surrounding the exam.
“For me, it can be difficult to visualize the admin and where all the options are in menus without it physically in front of me,” she says. “It can be challenging to find meaning in code that’s outside of context, but once I focused on those areas, I found it much more comfortable to work with.”
Now that she is certified, Rachel feels much more prepared to take on larger and more complex projects.
“After passing the exam, I now feel ready to jump into more challenging assignments,” she says.
More congratulations are in order for Pixafy’s software engineer Jean Silva, who is now a Magento Certified Developer Plus. Jean is skilled in the use of Magento Enterprise Edition, having explored the many finite details of Magento with a deep understanding of all things eCommerce and web development. He is now part of an elite group who can navigate the complex platform with ease.
