Time Magazine featured SusieCakes in a recent write-up about how their business is bucking the trend of many bakeries that put too much focus on cupcakes, instead of quality baked goods as a whole.

SusieCakes’ assortment of goods, focused on family recipes that Susan Sarich brought to the business, eliminates unnecessary ingredients and focuses on quality products the whole family can enjoy. They focus on the basics, and do them incredibly well, which those who have ever sampled their treats can attest.

Their broader range of cakes, pies, sugar cookies and, yes, cupcakes, also offer a wider assortment of choices, keeping things fresh. The constant of quality baked goods at celebrations – weddings, birthdays, etc. – also provides a steady and growing business for the company.

Pixafy has been the technology partner of SusieCakes since the relaunch of their website, continuing to support the business as it grows.  Their online store runs on the Community Edition of Magento.

SusieCakes’ philosophy (which includes a refreshing take on workers putting in normal hours instead of crazy ones) portends well for the success of the company, and Pixafy looks forward to being there and supporting their needs as the business grows. Be sure to check out the Time article for more insight as to Susan’s unique philosophy and how they see themselves growing in the future.
