ThrowbackTechnology: The Apple Lisa II Personal Computer

Posted by Pixafy Team

The Apple Lisa II Personal Computer was developed in 1983 and was the first PC to offer a graphical user interface at an inexpensive rate. Any by inexpensive we mean $9,995.

The Lisa was advanced for its time, with built-in protected memory, preemptive multitasking, and support for up to 2 megabytes of RAM. Steve Jobs originally worked on the project but was forced out by co-workers in 1982. He eventually moved on to another project you might be familiar with, called Macintosh. Ring a bell? #ThrowbackTechnology
