Ah, Bliss. You may think that the iconic #WindowsXP default #desktop background was too perfect to be real, but you’d be wrong! To mark the end of the operating system’s 13 year run, Microsoft gave a little history on this photograph – which turns out to have been shot in Napa Valley by photographer Charles O’Rear back in 1996. Microsoft wanted the image so badly that when O’Rear had trouble finding a courier service willing to take the liability of transporting the image they actually bought him a plane ticket so he could deliver it himself. With Windows XP selling over a billion copies, this image might be the most viewed picture in history! #ThrowbackTechnology
