Responsibilities

Pixafy is looking for Front End Web Developers of all experience levels and skill-sets who share our enthusiasm for innovation and clean code!

What You Will Be Doing

As a mix of artist and programmer, the Front-End Web Developer utilizes image editing software, HTML, JavaScript, and CSS to lead the development, creation, testing, and review processes needed to take a site from concept through launch. The developer works closely with their team to interpret and execute designs for eCommerce clients, while creating and maintaining common code libraries and documentation so each successive project builds from solid foundations. They are technically exacting, and passionate about creating beautiful web projects.

What we'd like to see

  • Experience developing with JavaScript, HTML, XHTML, CSS
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science (or related discipline) or equivalent work experience.
  • Working knowledge of AJAX
  • Experience with Adobe Photoshop / other image editing software
  • Knowledge of JQuery and JS toolkits like Prototype, Scriptalicious and others
  • Familiarity with Agile/iterative development methodology and ability to acclimate to quickly changing project requirements
  • Ability to perform in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Strong analytical, assessment and problem-solving skills
  • Self-starter, ability to multi-task and work with minimal supervision
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Knowledge of and experience using Magento a plus
