One of our longer-term clients has been Serious Wonder, a progressive, futuristic site headed by founder Gray Scott that looks at all sorts of topics. The centerpiece is a regular radio show that Gray conducts with authors and other notable figures, available in full to subscribers or in part to all visitors. There’s also a curiosities section, with content curated by a growing number of authors, and a video section of both original and third-party content.
A year ago, Pixafy launched the original site on Joomla. As the site grew, a need for a more flexible platform became obvious, and we recently rebuilt the site on WordPress to allow for simpler multi-author features, a more modern setup with growth in mind, and simpler workflows to allow for easier posting of content. A refreshed design came with it, which aimed to make the site cleaner and putting the content front and center. Finally, audio is served from a better source, and subscribers can now download audio so they can listen while on the go!
