Tennis sensation Maria Sharapova branched out into the world of premium candy with a bold brand vision and website designed by our partners at Red Antler. Pixafy provided a tech solution on a tight timeframe, tying a WordPress-driven stack of static pages with a Magento-based eCommerce solution. The site pipes in events from Facebook. The online store launched Aug. 20, 2012, in tandem with its debut in physical stores, with a splashy launch. More recent upgrades have included a shift to Magento Enterprise Edition.

Nobel Biocare has worked with Pixafy for much of 2012 to build a strong foundation for future growth. Pixafy tied the open-source Magento platform to their existing SAP and SalesForce.com resources. The platform provides an enhanced ordering experience for Nobel Biocare’s customers. Pixafy also built out an infrastructure that allows for easy rollout of the platform to additional countries where Nobel has a presence, ensuring an accelerated schedule for introducing the platform globally. The U.S. store launched in August, 2012, with additional countries to follow.

King & Grove was ready to upgrade their web presence to be a more robust experience, better capturing the mood and feeling of their properties. Pixafy delivered, making it easy for visitors to make reservations, building interfaces that allowed easy publishing of items like calendars and photo galleries, and set the site up on Drupal for easier maintenance and updates later.

Tasting Table sought Pixafy’s help in enhancing their existing mobile products. Pixafy built a new version of their iOS app, and debuted their Android app, to allow for more of their content to be available and accessible. We shared design duties of the mobile website with Red Antler, and provided technical support for their other teams regarding the building and implementation of mobile-friendly features. Newer pages add more advanced responsive design techniques.

An exclusive members-only site, BRIKA connects those with a creative flair with those who are appreciative to faciliate eCommerce. Pixafy delivered a heavily customized version of Magento Enterprise Edition to display products both by category and by maker, while adding referrals and rewards functions. BRIKA’s modular design, developed by Tether, allows for creative display of artists, called makers, who are creating some incredible art and products in the private sale format.

Shop Bevel brings the notion of empowering and crowdsourcing to the concept of manufacturing. Pixafy customized Magento to allow independent designers submit designs and users to vote on them. Winners get manufactured and designers are paid a royalty, empowering smaller designers without the connections a larger company has.

Pixafy is the technology partner of this start-up, and has so far launched two phases of the site. The first offered weekly recommendations, both on the web and via E-mail, based on a fashion trend and curated by the site’s principals, Eleanor Ylvisaker and Ferebee Taube. The second version, launched in September, allows visitors to build closets, shop from a larger variety of options, and rate items to get a more personal shopping experience.

My Last Supper
Alton Lane’s technology needs were growing, and Pixafy helped them unify a series of solutions into an up-to-date version of Magento, while making key customizations for a top-notch online experience to match the quality of their clothing. Pixafy set up a full tracking system, linked to their factory for up-to-date product information, built a system that allowed for customized automated E-mails to be generated, and updated their technology to allow for better online shopping, along with in-store use of the custom clothing creator via iPad. Alton Lane continues to turn to Pixafy for technology support.

The popular bakery SusieCakes wanted to expand their growing regional chain into the realm of the web, taking orders for pick-up or delivery online. Pixafy reworked Magento to allow for either option using a multi-store view and shared cart/basket across multiple stores, while at the same time setting up a CMS for the company’s staff to be able to more easily manage their online presence.

The My Last Supper book, featuring 50 chefs and their last meals, has been a sensation since its release and led to a second volume in the series. In advance of the release of The Next Course, Pixafy set up a WordPress-based site, with customization to allow for video, photo, interview and recipe postings, as well as a social component that includes pulling photos directly from the My Last Supper Facebook page.
